I have been an occupational therapist since 2014, predominantly working in the outpatient setting where I help people return to school, work, play, and other daily activities after an acquired brain injury. I first became interested in occupational therapy while working as a substitute teacher and was impressed by an occupational therapist who improved my students' effectiveness in the classroom through creative and client-centered solutions. Helping individuals return to learning continues to be a particular passion of mine and I strive to be a lifelong learner myself. I completed a post-professional doctorate in vision rehabilitation in 2022 and I'm dedicated to providing current, evidence-based interventions. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with other clinicians through presentations and workshops. I am a part of a wonderful and comprehensive interdisciplinary team including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech language pathology, and neuropsychology. I also provide vision therapy in collaboration with neuro-optometrists to ensure the best care for my patients. When not at the clinic, you can find me playing intramural kickball, renovating our fixer-upper home, and exploring national parks with my husband and young son.
