“Right from the first time we talked it wasn't hard to see that Lauren is a special caregiver. Throughout the 2 months of my physical therapy, it was clear that she is a caring, encouraging and comforting professional that she is proud when she sees progress. At the same time, she is also a focused technician. I could see on her face when she was putting together in her mind the next therapy plan which was always on point. I often told Lauren how impressed I was with her skillset and that I was sure that she would fix me. Twice a week she came up with just the right activity that progressed so smoothly that I hardly noticed. The bottom line is that Lauren is smart , hardworking, determined and takes pride in what she does which reflects on everyone around her. I am convinced that without Lauren I would still be unable to walk without losing my balance, stumbling or falling. ”

About Dr. Lauren Carter
My name is Lauren Carter, though I have to admit — Dr. Carter has a nice ring to it.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ’em!). After completing my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Northwestern University, I decided to stay in the incredible city of Chicago; however, Las Vegas will always be my home.
With clinical experience in sports medicine and post-operative rehabilitation—particularly ACL reconstruction and meniscal repair—I have developed a passion for helping individuals not only recover, but exceed their baseline function. I am especially interested in integrating my background in Neuroscience and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) clinical research with physical therapy to optimize rehabilitation.
Outside the clinic, I enjoy playing indoor and beach volleyball, cooking, and photography, often capturing moments and noting down recipes from my travels.
I pride myself on working with my patients—learning about their unique goals, activities, and motivations—to design individualized treatment plans that empower them throughout recovery. Let's do it together!

Dr. Carter’s neuroscience background, athletic focus, and passion for the human spirit finding and achieving recovery come together to create the right place for therapy. She’s such a great listener with really effective intuitiveness. Dr. Carter is so easy to talk to, and she really wants to help. The time and attention she spends with you exceeds my experience with others. I can’t recommend her enough.

Lauren is extremely knowledgeable in her field. I had a knee issue that is very rare and within one visit she immediately found the problem and gave me advice on how to handle the healing process.

I highly recommended Lauren for any physical therapy services. I started seeing Lauren for my lower back pain and I’ve had significant improvements. I was in expert hands as I worked with Lauren for four months on my frozen shoulder. She always took her time to ask me the essential questions to be able to provide me with the exact, pointed care that was needed. She also continually revised my at home therapy exercises, based on current levels. In addition, her manual therapy helped to relieve any discomfort or tension found in the area and surrounding areas. After working with Lauren, I am no longer in pain and my mobility and flexibility have improved tremendously!

I love my sessions with Lauren Carter! I'm always seen in a timely manner, and she was extremely attentive as I told her my injury history and concerns. I feel confident in her treatment plan and in the progression I'm seeing so far.

I truly enjoyed working with Lauren! I was dealing with tightness and pain in my shoulders and traps, and she not only helped relieve the discomfort but also provided workouts to prevent it from happening again. Lauren takes the time to thoroughly evaluate the issue and develop a tailored plan to address it. Since implementing her recommendations, I haven’t experienced any pain or tightness in that area. I’m very appreciative of Lauren and highly recommend her services!

Lauren is so such an attentive Dr. She listened to my concerns and carefully examined my problem area, at the time I was having hip issues and it took less than 5 mins for her to identify where I had pain and what might’ve triggered it.
We did a few stretches & I connected with her afterwards (check-in’s) and in the next few weeks I felt relief! I highly highly recommend working with her :)
