“I really enjoyed my first session with Lauren. I was going in blindly as this is my first time in PT and I left with so much clarity/reassurance around my ankle injury. I'm looking forward to continuing with her. Highly recommend!”

Lauren was very attentive and listened to my explanations of my injury. She asked questions to understand fully my needs. She assessed my movement to better determine the best way to help and advise me. She was considerate of my pain level and encouraged me to stop activities to avoid pain and to progress slowly to not aggravate my injury further. She gave me follow-up work to do at home and a plan of action and next steps! I felt heard and will work with her again!

Lauren was very friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and a good listener. She took extra time to clarify the details of my somewhat complicated medical history. She was hands-on and did a thorough assessment, and then formulated a good treatment plan. I plan to continue seeing her and would gladly refer friends to her.
Lauren and Mike have been a great team working out my back and neck pain. They don't just treat the symptoms, they get to the root of the problem-- which for me means better posture, more comfort when sitting at my desk all day, and better sleep! If you're in Chicago, check them out!!
I had a great experience at In Motion, which I started going to for low back pain. Both Lauren and Mike were very knowledgeable and great to work with. Seeing them twice a week really improved my back, which was fully recovered within a few months. They also equipped me with the exercises and knowledge to keep my back in good condition going forward. I'll definitely go to In Motion again if I need physical therapy in the future :)

Lauren is amazing to work with. She helped me out 6 years ago for a knee issue, and now a shoulder injury. A few things to know about Lauren: 1. She actually cares about her patients, you aren’t a number being pushed through the system. 2. She works with you, she doesn’t pass you off to someone who is still in school like the other PT place I went to. 3. She checks insurance and is open and honest about cost, benefits, etc. 4. She is very thorough in her evaluation and makes sure you understand what she is doing. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of PT.

I completely recommend Lauren!!!! I am an athlete and I injured a tendon in my right ankle due to having very high arches and ankle weakness. I was off my feet for 4 weeks in an aircast. Lauren helped deduce the mechanism of my injury and created an individualized treatment plan to help strengthen my ankles/ arches/ hips/Achilles. Every treatment session is 1:1 and she is always hands on and energetic. You can tell she is very knowledgeable and passionate about her craft. She really wants to see an improvement and is invested in her patients. She worked with me to make sure I knew how to do the exercises at home and to make sure I would get better. I will be a client of Lauren's for life!!! Thank you, Lauren. My ankles feel more stable now!
I came to Lauren after irritating an old ACL injury and was tired of dealing with knee pain from early onset osteoarthritis. I was looking for a non invasive solution to help prevent further injuries. Lauren immediately knew what muscle groups to work on to help support my knee. I’m a flight attendant and really appreciated the creativity that Lauren showed coming up with exercises I could do in the hotels. After treatment I could really feel the improvement in my ability to go up and down stairs pain free and definitely have more strength in my lower body to support my knee. Lauren is really fun to work with and comes up with a variety of exercises to keep the sessions engaging.
I came to Lauren at In Motion Physical Therapy after having calf pain affecting my running/race preparation. I was really frustrated that I couldn’t run without pain despite rest and stretching. Even as a therapist myself I couldn’t fix the problem; I knew I needed to go to a running specialist to help me get back to training pain and injury-free. Lauren was very thorough with her evaluation and was very knowledgeable, explaining the research behind her recommendations/home exercise program and helped me to see my deficiencies in a respectful way. She did a video gait analysis of my running and helped me to make the necessary adjustments to my running form, which along with the drills and exercises she gave me, have allowed me to get back to running pain-free. I was able to complete a turkey trot over Thanksgiving with NO ISSUES whatsoever. It was such a great feeling! Lauren’s one-on-one attention was so valuable, especially when you compare it to the care/attention one gets at big box PT clinic, in which you’re with a ton of other patients and predominantly working with an aide, not the PT. I know I’ll definitely go back to Lauren with any issues and highly recommend Lauren to any runner looking for help.
Dr. Lauren is the absolute best in the field! I had been to her before for my shoulder, which was a flair up of an old tennis injury. This time though I was training for a half marathon and was waking up daily with foot pain. I also had knee pain during my runs. Lauren treated me for both areas and I am so grateful for my experience at In Motion Physical Therapy. The one on one care is unmatched as is her attention to detail. I enjoyed each session so much I continued at In Motion with advanced sports specific strength training once I graduated from physical therapy. I am stronger, more fit, and injury free thanks to Dr. Lauren.
Lauren is the best!!! I had ankle surgery in January 2021 and started physical therapy in March. She was so accommodating with my schedule in the beginning since I had difficulty walking and needed help to get out of my house, and then she quickly helped me regain mobility and independence.
Lauren is always timely and efficient. She is a textbook of PT knowledge. She always has an exercise in mind when treating an ailment. I've worked with her before and after my weight loss surgery, first for back/ joint pain then for cardio and flexibility. She is always respectful of time and makes me feel like I'm in good hands.
I have been working with Dr. Lauren Schnidman for a few months and was just recently discharged from physical therapy. I went to my primary care physician with a mystery pain and he referred me to PT for diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Schnidman was able to diagnose my injury and after working together 1-2 times a week for the last few months, I am finally pain free! She also gave me advice on how to avoid a repeat injury as well as worked with me on my work from home set up to make sure nothing there was triggering the injury. Communication regarding insurance and co-pays was always transparent and thankfully I haven't received any surprise bills. Definitely recommend!
I have been working with Lauren for several months. She has been integral in my recovery from a long time lower back injury. I began seeing her as a Physical Therapist and I have transitioned to Personal Training. She has helped me back back to doing the physical activities that I love!
Lauren has been great- she has put a lot of energy into getting me back to running. She looks deeper than symptoms to correct the issues with running form and weaknesses that are causing me issues- which is different than I've had with previous PTs. I appreciated that the sessions are quite varied as she frequently re-assesses to find new issues and listens well to how I am progressing. I would recommend Lauren.
Lauren is extremely knowledgeable about all things body! She listens to every detail about the pain you’re experiencing and is determined to get you back to normal or even better. She has a very personalized approach and makes PT fun. I’m happy I chose her over a bigger PT chain.
Lauren is very knowledgable about about body function as it pertains to running & overall mobility. She created a comprehensive & dynamic plan for me to get back into running after an injury, and did a thorough analysis of my base mobility & strength. I'm very grateful to be a stronger & smarter runner now.
Lauren is the best hands down. She makes you feel very comfortable and allow you to express yourself so she can obtain information to make your therapy or training a success. She Listens to the person which in society is Lacking. Her expertise will have anyone back on track . I am a witness, l have had numerous injuries and she always make better .
Great, very organized and met my needs.
Quality instruction, positive results.
