Dr. Lauren Golden, PsyD

Psychologist
AZ
Hi there, I'm Lauren! My name is Lauren Golden, PsyD and I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Arizona. I have a collaborative approach to the therapeutic relationship and, I believe, that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have at any given moment. I also believe that everyone is capable of being better, and my role is to introduce the skills for the people that I work with in order to develop a life worth living. My approach I am trained to fidelity in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe in celebrating the smallest of wins during the journey towards a life worth living. I am well equipped to manage all levels of acuity and I am willing to meet my clients where they are at, wherever that might be at any given moment. My focus I have worked with all kinds of people all over the world. Most recently I have been working with veterans and service members to complete evaluations for the determination of disability eligibility. I also have a significant history for collaborating with people who struggle to maintain physical safety. My communication style I am endlessly validating and I strive to provide a source of empathy and support during the hardest of life events. I am willing to hold space for the people I work with so that they have the safety to participate in effective treatment, that is designed to improve the overall quality of life. My journey to mental healthcare During my upbringing, my father belonged to a private group practice where I worked in the filing room beginning from my adolescence and, my mother was a RN and the Director of Behavioral Health Services for the state. My Bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education and after graduation I lived and taught third grade on the island of Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands, for two years. After participating in the public sector, I decided to follow in my father's footsteps and return to graduate school to be a provider of behavioral health services.
