On a personal note, I’m a native New Yorker who knows firsthand the pressures of the private school system. What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an expert in the mental health field; you are the expert on you. Together, we can change your life from the inside out. Our team understands the pressures and uncertainty that come with life decisions and emotional challenges because knowing how to navigate life is an art, not a science. We balance warmth with honesty, will give you direct feedback, and bring a collaborative approach for lasting change. Versed in a wide range of treatments, our clinicians thoughtfully tailor the treatment to you, not the other way around. We are not wallpaper therapists, nor will we structure sessions rigidly. Not only will we make every effort to make you feel seen and heard, we will also help guide you to get out of your comfort zone and challenge you to courageously create the life of your dreams.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be structured and focused on gathering important information to make sure we have a comprehensive understanding of what the problem is. One person told me she had never experienced a clinician as thorough as I am! That said, I also make sure to leave space to address any of your immediate concerns as my hope is that each session will be meaningful and productive for you. Many clients report feeling a sense of hope after our first session, and over the course of 6-8 sessions, most people experience a significant reduction in anxiety and depressive symptoms. From there, we continue to build on the progress we’ve made.
