Dr. Linda Ann Schoonover is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan who has been practicing since 1978. She has a Ph.D. Doctoral in Professional Psychology from The Union Institute, a Psy.S. Doctoral in Humanistic Education and Psychotherapy from the Center for Humanistic Studies, an MSW, Master of Social Worker from Wayne State University, and a BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Detroit. Dr. Schoonover is committed to work with you on developing tools that can be used in your everyday life and has the faith that you can feel hope, feel heard, and grow in self-awareness. It is her desire to effectively provide client centered clinical counseling to young adults through senior citizens who are experiencing physical, spiritual, and emotional issues. Using a variety of counseling modalities, Dr. Schoonover has a passion for helping blending health, wellness, social work, sexuality, spirituality, and psychology to foster hope and faith. She provides assistance needed in navigating through life effectively including help dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, life transitions, weight loss, emotional issues, and spiritual or personal growth. Through the counseling process, the focus is to learn effective choices that help achieve your desired goals. Dr. Schoonover believes wholeheartedly that God has complete mental and emotional wholeness available to every person and would love to be part of your journey in finding that wholeness. In her free time, Dr. Schoonover enjoys Harsens Island, freighter watching, gardening and being active being with Harsens Island St. Clair Flats Association, Friends of St. Clair River, Harsens Island St. Clair Flats Historical Society, Algonac-Clay Historical Society, Woodside Bible Church, and many other community organizations to serve people.
