Hi there, I'm Lisa!
Lisa Hale LPC-S, LCDC. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), I have worked in a variety of settings, including residential treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient programs. I hope to bring healing, hope, and wholeness to each client.
My approach
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand your internal monologue, build cognitive awareness, and realize how your thoughts are impacting your life. I believe in creating solutions and working towards healing in the here and now. I enjoy teaching clients new skills to help them achieve their goals.
My focus
I work with adolescent and adult individuals in the areas of addiction, codependency, relationship, mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. I work with couples and families dealing with addiction issues. I work with all individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
My communication style
I strive to create a welcoming, calm environment for my sessions. I hope that you will find sessions to be a safe place to share and communicate and that you will feel heard and validated.
My journey to therapy
I became a therapist after my own experience with addiction. Prior to being a therapist, I worked in IT consulting in the corporate world. I also experienced my son's opiate addiction and recovery. My life has been greatly impacted by addiction, and this drives me to help others dealing with addiction and other mental health issues.
My goals for you
It is my belief that each person knows, on some level, what change is needed in their life. I can help clarify your goals, explore what is working and not working in your life, and encourage you to explore new approaches to problems.
My first session with you
I hope you will feel comfortable while we get to know each other. In the first session, I will gather history and help you define initial goals for therapy.
