I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 17 years-first in my hometown of El Paso, TX, and now for the past 2 years here in the Houston area. I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MEd in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso. My mission is to provide a safe, empowering place for you to learn new aspects of yourself, outgrow patterns and relationships that no longer serve you, and create a purpose that is life-fulfilling. Whether you are seeking counseling for yourself, a special little person in your life, or a friend, let's work together to help you create a meaningful life and overcome life's obstacles. Our time together will be based on safety, confidentiality, and unconditional positive regard. My treatment plan includes mindfulness, self-compassion theory, and cognitive strategies to minimize negative self-dialogue and improve your relationship with yourself. Improving identity development can lead to more positive social interactions. I utilize EMDR and narrative therapy to effectively treat trauma history. After booking, Tava Health will text and email you a link to complete registration and join your video therapy session. Once registered, you'll be able to log in to Tava to join your session, book additional sessions, and message your therapist. Appointments are for talk therapy over video. This therapist cannot provide medication prescriptions, emotional support animal (ESA) letters, or immigration psychological evaluations.
