Hello, my name is Lynn Ackert, and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania with 13 years of experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College. My background includes working with children and teenagers in various mental health settings, as well as with adults of all ages in crisis and outpatient settings. In my work with clients, I focus on their strengths by creating an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without judgment. Working with clients on anxiety, depression, trauma, and life challenges offers the opportunity to use strengths to create a joyful life. I am trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for trauma memories and follow a trauma-informed practice, with continuing education on various topics.

What should a new client know about working with you?

By connecting to therapy, you are placing your time and energy to build trust in both the process and therapist to help guide you in creating change. My goal is to assist you in identifying challenges, listening, and educating you on the tools and techniques to continue to build upon after therapy.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
