Maureen Williams, LCSW I provide a safe space for you to heal. I am here to support you in identifying the tools and resources you already possess as well as introducing new coping skills to manage a variety of feelings and emotions that are impacting your ability to cope. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal and grow and I work collaboratively with you in your journey to well-being
My approach
I offer a holistic approach to therapy and incorporate various approaches including Psychodynamic, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused and Mindfulness.
My focus
I work with young adults and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, life stressors, women's issues, and trauma.
My communication style
I combine compassion, respect, and humor in a safe, empathetic, non judgmental, environment. The most important piece to this journey is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client. I am here to partner with you and give you the space you need to openly express yourself.
My journey to therapy
I have been a therapist for almost 25 years. My desire to become a therapist initially began when working with young girls who had suffered abuse and neglect. I saw that they needed support and to be able to talk to someone in order to heal from their trauma. I am still driven to do this work because I know that everyone has challenges that impact their mental health at some point in their lives and I know that everyone has the capacity to heal and cope in healthier ways.

My first session with you
In the initial session, we will discuss what led you to seek out therapy, your current symptoms and how they are impacting your functioning. We will also identify your treatment goals.
