My name is Debi Luczywek, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Southern California. I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University and received my doctorate in Psychology in 2007. Since then, I have been dedicated to practicing and supporting clients through their mental health journeys. My specialty includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and grief.
My approach
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, integrating other methods as needed to help clients improve and feel better. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe and comfortable, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship.

I collaborate with clients to develop practical strategies that promote greater balance in their daily lives. I provide treatment aimed at relieving symptoms, enhancing well-being, and building strength so clients can achieve their most important goals and aspirations.

I am personable and kind, helping clients explore aspects of their lives that may feel uncomfortable. With my support and non-judgmental approach, I guide clients to become aware of thoughts and behaviors that might be difficult to understand on their own.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have been fascinated by human behavior my entire life. As a child, I watched the movie "Sybil" thirteen times, drawn to the character's pain and suffering. Although I did not initially pursue psychology, life experiences eventually led me to my passion for the healing arts. Being a therapist is an honor that allows me to provide a safe space for clients to reveal their most sacred selves in order to heal.
My goals for you
Goal setting is vital in therapy, and building trust between client and therapist is the foundation. I strive to help clients feel comfortable so they can find hope in their situations and move forward toward healing.
