I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia who has experience helping others through challenges with depression, parenting problems, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, OCD, and relationship issues. I work hard to try to use humor and honesty in all sessions to help meet you where you are during sessions. We will work together to identify your strengths and to create solutions together to quickly find things that will work for your healing and processing.
I utilize a mix of cognitive-behavioral, strength-based, and mindfulness-focused therapies during sessions and have been described as a 'straight no chaser' kind of therapy. I feel that the balance of these types of therapies helps to look at how to calm the mind down and refocus the thoughts for lasting positive changes while feeling like you have a realistic relationship in the therapy room.
