After an initial evaluation and approval from your therapist, patients receive a VR headset to use at home at no extra cost. Melissa graduated from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, with a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2017. Over the course of her career as an OT, she has worked in a variety of settings including Adult Hospital Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care, Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, and Home Health Care in Michigan and Ohio. Throughout her experiences, she has worked with people with a vast array of health conditions including Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Poly-Trauma, Amputations, Orthopedic Injuries/Surgeries, Cardiopulmonary Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Mental Health Conditions, and many more. In her free time, she enjoys being active outdoors-walking, kayaking, biking, or going to the beach at the local Metro Park. She loves spending time with her husband, family, and playing with her new puppy.
