My name is Melissa Pecano-Jones and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois with over 14 years of experience providing clinical services to individuals in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. I provide quality care, encouragement, compassion, and support in a nurturing environment. I believe that for therapy to work well it’s important to feel comfortable with your therapists’ personality, approach, and style as to this sets the foundation for building a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe that therapy is most successful when a person is able and willing to do it in a supportive environment.
I work with the whole client, body, mind and spirit, to facilitate change and achieve emotional balance and well-being. It is a highly individualized, and collaborative course of treatment. I meet my client’s where they are at. I act as a guide, a support system, and a person who will challenge when I know they are ready to be challenged. I believe that each person has within them the tools to heal and sustain that healing. I believe in the capacity for change.
