About Dr. Michael Dagro

Michael Dagro earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with distinction from the New York Institute of Technology. His clinical experience includes outpatient orthopedics, sports-related injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation, with an emphasis on manual therapy. Since graduating in 2014, Michael has been practicing in an outpatient setting and prides himself on the positive results driven by the quality of his one-on-one care. Before founding True Potential Physical Therapy, Michael worked as a personal trainer and amateur bodybuilder-activities that required intense focus on strength training and nutrition. Challenging his own body made him a kind of patient himself, as he learned how his body responded to the diet, training, and lifestyle required for bodybuilding. As a trainer, he applied that knowledge to a diverse mix of clients with an even wider range of goals. These experiences have been invaluable in helping him relate to his patients' needs and provide each with the right approach for their particular body and goals. This methodology has allowed him to help patients not only restore their previous quality of life but often return even stronger than before their injury. Michael is excited to be opening True Potential Physical Therapy in the Bayport community! It has been a dream of his since he began in physical therapy-to open an outpatient clinic that embodies his comprehensive, balanced, and personalized approach to patient care.
