About Dr. Michael Yarish
Dr. Yarish is a Bergen County Physical Therapist, licensed to practice in the state of New Jersey. He attended The College of New Jersey, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science along with a minor in Business Management. He then continued his education at West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA, where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
While at West Coast University, Dr. Yarish was honored with an academic award for being among the top of his graduating class. He has experience across the country working with orthopedic musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, sports rehabilitation, and post-operative rehabilitation. From diagnosing and treating complex patients in the ICU and neurological departments of Baylor University Medical Center in downtown Dallas to working with high-level athletes in Venice Beach, California, Dr. Yarish has worked with a comprehensive spectrum of patients. He has also had the unique experience of providing physical therapy care to professional athletes with the New York Football Giants.
As a Bergen County, NJ Physical Therapist, Dr. Yarish strives to increase patients' longevity while simultaneously improving their quality of life. To achieve this goal, he takes a biopsychosocial approach-analyzing each patient and considering factors impacting the whole person, then tailoring the program to the individual's specific needs to help them regain full functional ability.

Had a great experience—Michael listened carefully, assessed the issue thoroughly, and helped relieve the back pain I experienced. He also gave clear, practical guidance to not only avoid future problems but to strengthen the supporting muscles/area long term.

First PT appointment ever. So I do not have anything to base the experience on in terms of comparison.
Hurt my shoulder by benching wrong. Was given some tips and he helped massage out the messed up shoulder. Quite a few weeks later now and things are good.
I liked that the office gave me a call ahead of time explaining what I had to pay since my insurance only paid partially. And if I was not okay with the cost, they can cancel my appointment without issues.

Mike and his team are great. I’ve been dealing with a painful running injury for over a year now. Having tried physical therapy elsewhere, rest, and multiple doctors, I decided to give PT one more try. Thank goodness I did! Mike has done more for my pain in two months than anyone has previously. Treatment is tailored to what your needs are - not cookie cutter like other places I have been for PT. The entire team is friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
