About Dr. Miranda Morris

Miranda brings diverse experience in outpatient physical therapy and women’s health. Education BS: Kinesiology, Texas Woman’s University DPT: Doctor of Physical Therapy, University of St. Augustine Areas of interest/experience/specialization: Pelvic Floor training through Herman and Wallace Pregnancy and Postpartum training through APTA Dry Needling training through Integrative Dry Needling Professional Achievements Special training/certifications: Pelvic Floor levels 1 & 2 via APTA. Therapist Qualifications Women’s Health including incontinence, diastasis recti, pregnancy and postpartum, and pelvic pain Orthopedics, sports medicine Dry needling certification Manual therapy Licensed by Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners How/Why did you choose physical therapy? I chose physical therapy to help people reach their full potential in activities they love. At 16, I tore my ACL playing volleyball and thought I’d never play in college. After physical therapy, I returned stronger and went on to play in college. Experiencing PT’s impact made it the perfect, rewarding career for me. As a physical therapist, what keeps you doing what you do? Helping someone live an active life is the best feeling! The human body’s ability to heal fascinates me. I enjoy facilitating healing while empowering patients to overcome injury. My passion for orthopedics comes from my love of sports and activity. My interest in women’s health began in PT school and grew through my own pregnancy and postpartum experience. I love spreading awareness about pelvic floor therapy and empowering women. What do you do outside your work? I spend time with my family—my husband, a firefighter/paramedic, our one-year-old daughter, and two dogs (Siberian husky and German shepherd). Motherhood is a blessing, and I enjoy watching my daughter grow. I also love plants, being outdoors, music, podcasts, TV, and various exercise.
