Getting to know Dr. Naomi Kehati-Bronner

*********************ATTENTION, Read this first!!**************************** The doctor will reach out via email or text in order to touch base to confirm and prepare for our Zoom appointment. It is important that we speak prior; therefore, please keep this in mind as you're considering booking with me. ******************************************************************************* Psychotherapy is to the mind what the immune system is to the body. It protects and strengthens. Psychotherapy is a discipline that draws on both science and art - knowledge of theory and research on one hand and literature, philosophy, and the esthetics on the other. Hard evidence lives side by side with intuition to capture the essence of who you are. Psychotherapy is a conversation, but of a very different kind. My main approach to my work encompasses all theories of the mind. It is geared toward improving "Mentalizing." This means enhancing your ability to "understand behavior in terms of intentions - thoughts, feelings, beliefs, wishes, and desires, so you can see yourself from the outside and others from the inside" (Fonagy). With an interactive process that focuses on exploration through active listening, I try to understand the inner workings of your mind; to learn what has shaped you (personality, brain, family, culture) and how you learned to respond to the world in the way that inhibits thriving. This work aims at elevating understanding, awareness, and mindfulness, which in turn allows for more adaptive perceptions and behaviors to emerge so your goals are met and the quality of your life enhanced. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Tel Aviv University, and a Master's in Psychology from Boston University.

Working with Naomi has been a transformative experience. I am very fortunate to have her as my first therapist. After years of avoidance, she helped me confront painful issues in a constructive way. Instead of giving easy answers, she challenges me to look at the world and how I interpret it in different ways. She strikes the right balance of assertiveness and caring. Naomi continues to encourage my growth and I find therapy to be an integral part of my journey.

Naomi is absolutely wonderful--so insightful, thoughtful, and compassionate. She makes sure to work with you in the way that suits your mind the best--whenever I met with her, I was sure that I could be open and honest about what was bothering me and that she would respond in a way that complements the way I think. She is very conscientious of finding a good fit between patient and therapist, and truly took into consideration my individual needs and the pace at which I could process my past experiences and emotions. I would recommend Naomi to anyone who is looking for an intellectual connection and caring, astute therapy.
Dr. Bronner is excellent at what she does. She is the real deal. She listens acutely and her feedback is reliably helpful and steps ahead. Her style can be tender and comforting and also direct. She is obviously incredibly well-informed and quite brilliant with her work. I have seen a few therapists in the last few years and she is by far the most thorough and also the most caring. I trust her expertise.

Wow. Dr Bronner is so incredibly compassionate, insightful, and calming. I found it easy to relate to her. She was very skilled at picking out the core of my issues through her active listening and questions. She was also very caring and compassionate to me while still being professional and insightful.

I have had past experiences with psychotherapists and I can truly say that Dr. Kehati-Bronner is the best that I have found. She is insightful and not only identifies the issues impeding one's life but also how they are related to one's current reality, be it social, cultural or existential. At the same time Dr. Kehati-Bronner is kind and compassionate. There is no doubt that she is an active partner in one's journey. She takes on the role of a coach or a mentor. Her unending patience and care help guide one to self-realization, setting goals and achieving those goals. She is always present for her patients and available to them in their time of need. When I met Dr. Kehati-Bronner I had suffered the loss of my 4 family members within a short period of time. I was alone and in a very dark place where I saw no hope of a future. Through Dr. Kehati-Bronner's ability and care I survived that time. While a still have a long way to go I can no see that a future is possible and for this I will be ever grateful. I recommend Dr. Kehati-Bronner without hesitation to anyone who is struggling with areas of their life.
Dr. Bronner has an excellant capability for accessing the root of ones condition and mental wellbeing. Core issues are established with clarity and confidence. Treatment goals are then identified for productive therapy. Within all of this a compassion holds true as issues are worked and advanced to the service of the patient.
I'd been interested in starting therapy for years, but could never find a therapist who so naturally combines insight, depth, and empathy the way Dr. Kehati-Bronner does. From our first session I was struck by both her natural warmth and her clear-eyed perceptiveness. She's helped me recognize, and change, patterns in my own life and behavior, and has been an incredible source of wisdom and support. She's just as adept at creating a feeling of safety and security in the face of a difficult story as she is at laughing and celebrating a happy one, and she has, without fail, guided me to understand my emotional responses. Of course, finding the right therapist is incredibly subjective and comes down to instinct and "feel," so what worked for me may not work for you. That said, Dr. Kehati Bronner's provided exactly what I hoped therapy could be, and I feel lucky to have found her.
