Dr. Emokpae received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in 2006. As a physical therapist, Nelson’s goal is not only to educate and treat his patients but to empower them to become their own best therapist. His idea of excellent care includes compassion, dedication, humor, and an evidence-based approach. In addition to being a physical therapist, Nelson is the lead singer of Nelly’s Echo. Nelly’s Echo has self-released three successful albums, performed as a member of Team Christina on season 3 of NBC’s THE VOICE, performed at over 150 colleges in the past year, and entertained the troops in Cuba.

My appointment came quickly. The DPT´s office staff was informative and extremely polite. The DPT was fantastic. He listened and acknowledged my chief complaint. A custom patient plan has been implemented. I’m feeling better already. As a new patient I give my appointment 1-10, 10 being great. #10.

Dr Nelson is friendly and professional. I saw him via Zocdoc video appointment. This was a consultation visit, he listened carefully and then gave clear instructions for the exercises to do.
