Dr. Nick Licameli has been a licensed physical therapist in the state of New Jersey for the past 8 years. He graduated summa cum laude from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a bachelor's degree in biology, then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences. Recently, Dr. Licameli was named clinical director and partner of Professional Physical Therapy's new Totowa location. He considers it an honor to serve the Totowa community and immerse himself in its culture.

On December 2, 2024, I fell and fractured my left femur. After surgery and a 10 day hospital stay, I was discharged with a prescription from my doctor for physical therapy to restore the use of my left leg. I was lucky enough to be sent to Professional Physical Therapy in Totowa, NJ. I would like to say that my experience there has been beyond just therapy for my injury. It has been a life expanding encounter with wonderful people. I was at first greeted by Nilda, the receptionist. She is a lovely young woman who is not only personable, but extremely helpful in scheduling and making sure communication among the various doctors’ offices, insurance adjusters and patients is clear and complete. Then there is Marlin, an extraordinary assistant, who seems to anticipate the needs of the patients. He is quiet and conscientious, as well as gentle and competent. The therapists, Nick and Kam, are unbelievable! The amount of knowledge and practical therapy that they share with each other and their patients is commendable. They both exude overwhelming compassion mixed with a love of people and the ability and desire to alleviate pain and suffering. They listen attentively and understand the needs of each individual while using their skillful hands to soothe and heal the aching areas of their many patients. I was blessed to be treated by the individuals at Professional Physical Therapy (Totowa, NJ location) and would heartily recommend this facility to any and all who have the need of physical therapeutic services. I would like to thank them all for being who they are! Please keep up your exceptional ministrations.
