“Nick is a fantastic physical therapist. He has a deep understanding of physiology and how to translate it into the best possible therapy specifically geared toward your issue. My back pain is completely gone and feels better than it has in 20 years. I only wish I had come in sooner!”

About Nicholas Strickland

Before earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University, Nicholas graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Nicholas was first exposed to physical therapy as a patient when recurrent ankle sprains hindered his performance during his basketball season at Archbishop Molloy High School, an academic and athletic powerhouse. He has always excelled in the sciences and gravitated toward a health- and fitness-oriented lifestyle—both valuable traits in being a physical therapist. Nicholas’s passion for physical therapy is centered in the outpatient setting, where he has worked with a variety of populations, including post-operative patients, neurological rehabilitation, and general orthopedics. He understands the competitive nature of returning from injury, the psychological challenges involved, and places extreme value on safety during recovery. Born in New York, Nicholas enjoys spending his free time weightlifting, running, playing basketball, and has recently discovered a new passion for photography!

Nick is a joy to work with! Always attentetive and thoughtful with his cures, and added plus is his great personality!

Came in with a shoulder injury and Nicholas had me on the road to recovery in no time! He set me up with at home exercises to supplement in between our sessions. The ease of setting up and/or changing appointments was a huge plus. Feeling stronger and able to function better than before. Thank you Nicholas.
Nick is very great at his craft! I came in with the objective to get back into the gym, and he successfully got me back to square one! You can't go wrong with any of the physicians here, but I personally worked with Nick and have a preference for him.
Nick was diligent, thoughtful, and responsive in helping me treat IT band syndrome while training for my second marathon this summer. His approach was super balanced. He helped me navigate rest and strength, while also rebuilding a consistent baseline for training (which didn’t have a ton of room for error). Our sessions were collaborative and encouraging. He was responsive to treating new aches and pains throughout my training plan, too. Ultimately, I got to the starting line of the Chicago Marathon feeling healthy and strong — and I walked away with an 8 min personal best!
