Hi there, I'm Nichole!
My name is Nichole Maxwell, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to provide a range of support for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, marital issues, family conflict, and many stresses from day-to-day life.
My approach
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in my therapy sessions.
My focus
I am passionate about working with individuals, families, pre-teens, and teens. My approach centers on helping clients build effective skills to manage and overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Whether navigating everyday struggles or more complex issues, I strive to support each person in finding resilience and growth.

My goal is to provide a safe and trusting environment where we can develop a positive therapeutic relationship. This relationship is essential to foster growth, healing, and understanding during our sessions.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have lived in Reno, Nevada, for over 25 years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and began my career in mental health in 2013 working in Psychosocial Rehabilitation. Wanting to be more involved in the healing process, I pursued my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University.
