I am Dr. Lady-Dreama Noir, LISW-S, LICDC, a licensed independent social worker providing mental health and chemical dependency therapy in Central Ohio. I received my master’s in social work from The Ohio State University. My approach I specialize in therapy related to most mental health concerns, trauma, grief, and chemical dependency. I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse clientele, including both long-term and short-term treatment. Having a personal experience with the lack of support, especially in the realm of mental health, my zeal is to provide quality mental health treatment and tackle the stigma that is associated with mental health within the minority population. I utilize an empowering and straightforward approach to build and strengthen rapport. I want my clients to feel like Ohana. In the words of Lilo and Stitch, Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. My focus Gordon Legacy is a therapy and counseling private practice that focuses on providing mental health services to the community, with emphasis on the underserved people of color. My communication style I utilize a more relaxed communication style so that sessions feel more conversational. I want my clients to look forward to our time together and feel safe to be open and vulnerable in order to foster growth throughout the therapeutic journey with me as their guide. My journey to mental healthcare I started my practice to honor my father, who passed away in 2015. My father, James E. Gordon MSW, LSW, LICDC, was also a licensed independent social worker and chemical dependency counselor, and with this practice and through my work, I am continuing our family legacy. My goals for you Therapy is a partnership. Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you, whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, or another personal objective.
