About Dr. Nicole Lescano

Nicole is a Physical Therapist at AVION Sports Rehab. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Philadelphia University/Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, in 2021. Nicole completed her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Pre-Physical Therapy at San Diego State University in San Diego, CA, in 2016. Prior to joining AVION, Nicole worked for Select Physical Therapy at multiple clinic locations in South Florida, treating a diverse range of injuries and patient populations, including post-operative patients, geriatric patients, individuals with Parkinson's, athletes, and weekend warriors. Nicole enjoys working with patients at all levels and prides herself on helping them return to the activities and sports they love. She played Division I Women's lacrosse at SDSU. A Fort Lauderdale native, Nicole worked as a physical therapy tech and aide in both San Diego and Fort Lauderdale before entering her DPT program. She has also been a patient herself on two occasions, having undergone orthopedic surgeries. This unique perspective-drawing from her experience as a tech/aide, collegiate athlete, and patient-allows Nicole to create personalized, effective plans of care during rehabilitation. Nicole was inducted into the National Physical Therapy Student Honor Society while at Jefferson University. Her professional goals include obtaining certifications in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction training, as well as CKTP, COMT, CSCS, TPI, and LSVT BIG.
