My name is Oscar Villalobos and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I attended school at EPPC, UTEP and NMSU. I have the following degrees: Bachelor’s in Psychology, Bachelor’s in Nursing, Master’s in Community Counseling and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Furthermore, I completed a research project that was published in the Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences and presented it in 2018 at an International Nursing Conference in Vancouver, Canada. I have worked in mental health since 2005 in a wide array of settings including community agencies, hospitals and outpatient clinics. I sincerely enjoy working in mental health and believe we need more resources, providers and programs to properly address the psychiatric needs of our population. Therefore, I am proud to be part of a team were the needs of patients are prioritized to improve their outcomes.
