Pat’s interest in physical therapy began with a significant injury during his high school football career—an experience that gave him an early understanding of the rehabilitation process and ultimately motivated him to pursue a career dedicated to helping others recover and perform at their best. Pat earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from LVC in 2022. Seeking advanced training, he went on to complete both a sports residency and an Upper Extremity fellowship with ATI in Greenville, South Carolina, where he further developed his clinical reasoning and skills in working with athletes and upper extremity conditions. Pat spent two years working in professional baseball with the Colorado Rockies and Houston Astros after his fellowship. In this role, he was responsible for managing players on the injured list throughout the season, coordinating their rehabilitation, and guiding their return to competitive play. His experience includes developing return-to-play protocols for upper and lower extremity surgeries, as well as creating structured throwing, hitting, and running programs. He has also worked extensively with collegiate athletes across a wide range of sports. Pat is a specialist in sports rehabilitation and upper extremity care, with particular expertise in treating the overhead athlete. While his primary focus is the upper extremity, he has broad experience managing diverse injuries within professional athletics. He is among the few physical therapists in the country to have completed both a sports residency and an Upper Extremity fellowship. He has held his CSCS certification since 2020, is an active member of the APTA, and can effectively communicate in Spanish within clinical and rehabilitation environments.
