Getting to know Dr. Paulette Didia

You may seem like you have it all together, but inside you’re anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed. Maybe you’re facing a major life transition, questioning your identity or values, or feeling disconnected from your partner or yourself. You’re tired of overthinking and carrying the mental load, and ready for something to shift. You want to feel more like yourself again: calmer, clearer, and more in control. You want therapy that feels like a real conversation, something practical and grounded, not clinical or scripted. A place where your unique story is heard, understood, and respected. You are not alone. I see you and I am here to help. I work with clients facing anxiety, trauma, or relationship stress. My integrative approach means no one-size-fits-all plan, just therapy that is tailored uniquely to you. You don’t need someone who just nods and waits for you to talk. You need someone real, someone who gets it, helps you make sense of things, and supports you in creating meaningful change. Whether you’re looking for support with anxiety, relationship stress, identity questions, trauma, or life transitions, I offer a real-world approach that balances insight and action. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. If something doesn’t feel right in your life, that’s reason enough to get support. Let's talk.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. Clients often tell me that it feels like a genuine conversation, never cold, clinical, or performative. I bring curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to gently challenge the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You don’t need to come in with all the answers or a perfect way to describe what you’re feeling. That’s what we’ll figure out together. Some people come in with a clear goal. Others just know something feels off. Either way, we’ll make space for your full experience, without judgment or pressure to “get it right.” We’ll go at a pace that feels safe and sustainable. Some sessions may focus on insight or past experiences. Others may involve more present-day problem-solving, coping skills, or emotion regulation strategies. It’s flexible, human, and always centered around what works best for you. I’ll check in regularly, welcome your feedback, and make sure therapy stays aligned with your values and goals. You’re the expert on your life, I’m here to support you in making it feel more manageable, more meaningful, and more like your own.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a conversation- about what’s going on in your life, what’s bringing you in, and what you’re hoping might shift. You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear goal. Some people come in feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Others just know they’re not feeling like themselves. That’s enough to begin. My approach is relational and flexible. I tailor therapy to fit you, not the other way around. Some sessions might focus on skills or present-day stressors. Others may explore deeper patterns, past experiences, or questions about identity, values, or relationships. It all depends on what feels most helpful. I draw from multiple approaches; psychodynamic therapy, CBT/DBT tools, mindfulness, trauma-informed work, but I use them in service of you, not as a fixed protocol. I’ll check in often to make sure therapy feels useful, supportive, and aligned with your goals. Clients often say that therapy with me feels like a real conversation, one where they feel understood, challenged when needed, and always met with compassion. We’ll move at your pace, and together, we’ll work toward clarity, relief, and lasting change.

  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t work directly with insurance, but that doesn’t mean it has to be complicated. Many clients are able to get partial reimbursement for sessions, often up to 60-80%, through their out-of-network benefits, depending on their plan. If the insurance piece feels overwhelming, I get it. During our free 15-minute consultation, I’ll check your out-of-network benefits for you, explain what’s covered, and walk you through how it works. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s covered. I also take care of all the paperwork on your behalf, so you don’t have to worry about forms or follow-ups. My goal is to make therapy feel as accessible, transparent, and supportive as possible, both emotionally and logistically. If you’d like to discuss rates or have questions about financial fit, I’m always open to a conversation.

It’s not easy finding a doctor who is completely attentive and patient with you every time you meet, but with Dr. Didia you feel like she sincerely cares about you.
After spending many sessions with Dr. Didia, I highly recommend her to anyone new to therapy or continuing their journey. She is my safe space! She is so caring and always puts me first as a person, never judging week after week. She listens intently and always makes connections by remembering things I’ve said a long time ago. Dr. Didia makes every session a collaboration so I never feel alone. She operates from a place of kindness but also brings humor into the room when appropriate to make me feel calm and supported -- which I personally appreciate very much. Dr. Didia is one of the best therapists I’ve had and I feel so grateful!! Thank you!

Dr Didia is a dot connector! She is able to connect behaviors from the past and associate them with behaviors of today to help me understand the sense of things. In the short amount of time I’ve seen Dr Didia, I’ve had epiphanies that I’ve needed to overcome some hard trauma. She is gentle yet realistic. Easy to speak to because she provides comfort. I love how she is able to relate things I’ve said last week and can relate them things I’ve said this week. A true active listener.
I highly recommend Dr. Didia to anyone that is looking for a therapist! She is very understanding, kind, and patient, and makes me feel that I could talk to her about anything. I feel like I am getting a lot out of my sessions and she is helping me lead myself in the right directions.
I can't begin to say how wonderful Dr. Didia is! While only working together for a short time period, I'm wondering why I waited so long to start this amazing process. I highly recommend her for anyone looking to work on themselves like they deserve. The office space is a bonus. So inviting and comforting.
