Dr. Kharazi is a licensed clinical psychologist. He earned his doctoral degree from Pepperdine University and has completed clinical rotations at academic intuitions such as Cedars Sinai Medical Center, USC and UCLA. His therapeutic approach and specialty is grounded in Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), an integrative form of psychotherapy that uses aspects of psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other schools of thought to help improve emotional regulation and strengthen interpersonal relationships. Services offered by Dr. Kharazi are designed to help clients gain a stronger sense of self, enhance their emotional life, and develop more intimate and gratifying relationships to successfully pursue life goals with new perspective and practical tools.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe that mental health and well-being are integral and essential parts of living a fulfilling, satisfying and healthy life. My philosophy is that quality mental health care does not attempt to inherently change who you are but unlocks your true potential, allowing you to more freely be the unique person you are. As such, my passion and expertise are in helping you reach your full potential by accompanying you on a journey of self-exploration.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I am committed to providing the highest quality of care by using evidence-based practices that are up to date with the latest psychology research and treatment models. My approach to therapy is personalized and collaborative and I take pride in being compassionate, genuine, caring, honest, and direct with every client.

Dr Kharazi is a knowledgable and understanding doctor. This was my first time in therapy and I did not know what to expect. Dr Kharazi was very patient and really helped me see the value in therapy by helping me work through issues in my relationship. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Kharazi helped me through a series of traumatic moments in my life. He assisted me in stabilizing my mood and focused my energies and thoughts on the path to health and personal growth. I highly recommend Dr. Kharazi for all types of situations and patients. He has a firm grasp on the technical aspects of therapy, a strong intuition, and a humility and care that I found very endearing.

I've seen a few therapists before Dr. Kharazi and my experiences were just so-so. But Dr. Kharazi changed all of that for me - he is the best therapist I've ever met with and I can't say enough good things about him. He truly listens and approaches issues with a warm and curious demeanor. He is extremely approachable and makes a challenging thing like therapy very accessible. Dr. Kharazi helped me acknowledge difficult things about myself and come to terms with the things I feared. He's simply the best, thanks doc!
