What should a new client know about working with you?

Appointments scheduled through ZocDoc are for a 15 minute phone consultation. We will speak by phone for upto 15 minutes so I can get a broad sense of your difficulties and your expectations for treatment. We will then schedule an in-person evaluation of 75 minutes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the initial meeting, I will construct a timeline of your symptoms and challenges and place them against a backdrop of your life story. I am conservative with the use of medications, avoid polypharmacy as much as possible and sometimes need to see patients twice before proposing an optimal treatment plan. If you are not in psychotherapy and we agree it is beneficial, I am able to provide that as well.
