Dr. Hutt has several research publications and presentations on the development of emotion regulation in young children in the context of parenting, the promotion of positive emotion and well-being for young children and parents, and the intersection between behavioral and physical regulation of emotion. Her dissertation research examined the association among postpartum mothers’ depressive symptoms, exercise, and the use of positive emotions during family interactions. Prior to founding MindWell NYC, Dr. Hutt was the Director of Parenting Services and the Young Adult Program at CBT/DBT Associates. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), and her postdoctoral fellowship at CBT/DBT Associates. She participated in a multidisciplinary DBT consultation team and provided individual and group DBT to adolescents, young adults, and adults. Dr. Hutt additionally gained expertise in the delivery of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults with various anxiety disorders (Generalized, Social, Panic, and PTSD) and depressive disorders.
