“I picked Professional Physical Therapy of Andover because of its excellent reputation and was not disappointed. I was having pain in my left hip that I would later have replaced. Rachel my therapist put together an excellent exercise plan for me that concentrated on strengthening the muscles around the hip. She listened to me about how I was feeling every visit and would design exercises around what my needs were. She made me feel comfortable and kept me moving. I highly recommend Rachel for her knowledge and experience she’s special the rest of the staff was great the atmosphere was very relaxed and I enjoyed being there. I am very happy to have done by physical therapy there and would return in a heartbeat.”

About Rachel Kaufmann

I was an athlete growing up and involved as a competitive figure skater from the age of 7 until the age of 19. My passion for physical therapy started at the age of 16 when I was myself injured while skating and required treatment. My physical therapist was so supportive and helped me to heal not only physically but emotionally as well. He was a figure skater and athlete in the past, so he understood the mental block young athletes often experience after an injury and was able to help me through it when I was ready to return to the ice. I think back to my own experience as a patient, and I want my own patients to feel supported in the same way. Since graduating PT school with my DPT, I was able to participate in an extensive orthopedic continuing education and completed level 1 of the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. This program included 10 hours of lab and mentoring time each week for 11 months.
