She was able to help solve an issue that got in the way of my daily life, and I'm very happy to have trusted her with my care. The office is conveniently located next to a Bx8 stop, with a physical therapy office in the same building. The office is wheelchair accessible, with an elevator and a stairless entrance around the rear of the building, with kind and accommodating staff. I'd recommend her for sure! :)”

“This visit was on behalf of my 86 year old mother who had been suffering with back pain at different levels for years. For the past 6 months it had become accute after a fall and after some general pain management methods I decided to find a doctor who specialized in back pain. On our first visit Dr. Sukharia was able to verbalize in a simple way what was happening with the back and recommended a three-step process to relieve the pain, This approach worked very well and I've been so happy to have my real mother back. While we appreciate the Doctor's knowledge it was also her kind approach working with my mother for which we're grateful. She knew to speak clearly and slowly which involved my mother in decisions about her care. ”

About Dr. Rakhi Sutaria
Dr. Rakhi Sutaria completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, serving as chief resident in her final year. She continued at the program to complete her Sports Medicine fellowship with a focus on interventional and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
She is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist whose practice is devoted to using non-operative treatments of musculoskeletal disorders. Treatments involve an effort to combine multiple therapies including but not limited to exercise, medication, physical therapy and injections to provide maximum effectiveness and success.
Dr. Sutaria's special interests include peripheral joint injections under ultrasound. She also performs trigger point injections, nerve blocks, viscosupplementation knee injections and tendon/sheath ligament injections in the office for pain relief. The office also conducts electrodiagnostic testing and nerve conduction studies to evaluate the status of peripheral nerves and muscles.
After practicing PM and R in Connecticut for the past few years, Dr. Sutaria is very grateful to be able to be practicing again in her hometown community. She is looking forward to working closely with internists and specialists in the area to bring the highest quality, coordinated care to our patients.
