You're not alone in your struggle. Solidarity is the key to surviving and thriving during these trying times, and therapy is one form of that solidarity. Our weekly sessions will help you get the traction and leverage you need to get unstuck and discover new meaning and purpose in life. The fact that you're reaching out to set a weekly time and place to work on these things shows me you already have the initiative it takes for making those positive changes happen. My approach For-profit healthcare gaslights people into thinking that they're to blame for their own oppression. As a Systems-informed Dialectical Psychologist and a boots-on-the-ground activist and community organizer, I take systemic oppression and racism very seriously, exploring individual problems in their social context. I then help my clients explore the other end of that dialectic, the work of deconstructing their own narrative history as it overlaps with the larger narratives of their families, communities, and societies at large. I integrate a Jungian perspective with Trauma-focused Cognitive-behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies, an approach I honed working for years in the Hollywood and Watts communities of Los Angeles. My focus It's natural to feel anxious about the daunting task of bold self-exploration with a new therapist. But in my 20 years of experience, I have helped countless clients overcome crippling anxiety & depressive disorders and achieve recovery from related addictions. My broad history working with children, teenagers, adults, and seniors gives me a unique perspective on lifespan development. Also, I have worked for years with clients from every end of the LGBTQ spectrum and have served as a political ally and advocate for my Queer comrades struggling against institutional heteronormative patriarchy. My communication style Therapy is the one place where you can say anything and everything you think and feel, in complete confidentiality.
