About Roslyn Sofer

Roslyn Sofer, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and then her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy from Touro College. Roslyn then went on to receive her PhD from Trident University. In addition to treating patients, Dr. Sofer also teaches at Touro College in Bay Shore, New York, and at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. Dr. Sofer has over 5 decades of clinical experience in the field of physical therapy including working with people with both neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. She believes in doing a thorough examination of her patients, explaining the findings and the possible causes of the condition. Only then is a program of care designed that is tailored to the patient. Dr. Sofer firmly believes in lifelong learning and is continuously taking courses to update her knowledge and therefore update her ability to successfully care for her patients.
