Ryan Gibney, PT

Ryan Gibney, PT

Physical Therapist
10 S Hays St, Bel Air, MD
Ryan Gibney’s passion for physical therapy stems from a lifelong dedication to athletics, fitness, and helping others. As a three-sport athlete — football, basketball, and baseball — and later as a college linebacker and team captain at Lebanon Valley College, Ryan experienced firsthand the demands and rewards of sport. These experiences ignited his interest in sports-related injuries, strength and conditioning, and athletic performance. Beyond athletics, Ryan serves his community as a volunteer firefighter. This role deepened his respect for first responders, military personnel, and active adults — and reinforced his desire to support individuals across all walks of life. In 2023, Ryan earned his bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Lebanon Valley College, followed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2025. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). His training helps him bridge rehabilitation and performance, and he plans to pursue dry-needling certification to further enhance his clinical toolkit. Ryan loves working with contact-sport and field athletes, as well as military and first-responder populations — though he remains open and committed to helping anyone striving to recover, improve, or reach new physical potential. During his doctoral program, he co-authored a pilot study on heart rate variability (HRV) using the KardiaMobile device, presenting the findings at the 2025 Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association. Combining athletic experience, academic rigor, and a service-driven mindset, Ryan is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high-performance care — helping every patient recover, return to activity, and reach their highest potential.
