About Samantha Valasek
Dr. Samantha Valasek is a licensed occupational therapist specializing in supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental differences, such as ADHD and ASD. She works with adults and adolescents to enhance their daily living skills and achieve important milestones through a holistic, collaborative, and goal-oriented approach. Her clinical expertise includes assessment of functional cognition and sensory processing, executive function skills training, environmental modifications, compensatory strategies, habit and routine formation, and accommodations in school and workplace settings. Dr. Valasek earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California, and her Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University. She began her career and developed her expertise as a clinical faculty member at USC, where she worked with university students, faculty, staff, and community members to promote health-enhancing habits and routines. Her clinical services addressed a variety of chronic conditions, including anxiety, depression, addiction, insomnia, obesity, diabetes, migraines, and chronic pain. In addition to direct clinical work, she taught graduate-level occupational therapy courses, developed programming focused on ADHD, self-regulation, medical student wellness, and tobacco/alcohol cessation, and participated in multiple inter-professional clinics.
