About Dr. Shannonmarie Caparatta

Shannon is a New York State certified Physical Therapist who received her Doctorate degree from Stony Brook University in 2017. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Adelphi University. Shannon has had strong clinical experiences in treating orthopedic and sports injuries, as well as pediatric cases. Her love for working with children started through her passion for dance. She was a competitive dancer for 12 years and moved on to teaching dance for 5 years in a variety of genres. She is also vestibular and concussion certified through the American Institute of Balance. Shannon's favorite part about being a physical therapist is listening to a patient's history and symptoms in order to create an individualized program that will allow them to return to their favorite activities with an improved quality of life. When Shannon's not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Some of her favorite activities include taking long walks outside, going to the beach, and baking.
