My name is Shelby Amann, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado. My professional experiences include working in a college mental health center, group practice, and private practice. I provide therapy for adults and teens facing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, identity, and interpersonal issues. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I use DBT to help clients build the lifestyle and relationships they desire, and EMDR to guide healing from life experiences and traumas that are holding them back.
I work to create an encouraging and collaborative space where clients are invited to deepen their understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. I love what I do because I get to witness the transformational healing that can take place in the therapeutic process. I believe whole-heartedly in your ability to achieve your goals, and I look forward to meeting you on that journey!
In my free time, I love spending time outside with my little one, reading, cooking, going to the movies, and consuming all things pop culture!
