Psychotherapist
CO
Hi there, I'm Brett! I'm a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a compassionate and client-centered approach to mental health and emotional well-being. With 12 years of experience in the field, I've had the privilege of helping numerous individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. My approach I hold a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Adams State University, where I developed a deep understanding of human behavior and therapeutic techniques. My practice is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, all tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. My focus I specialize in a wide range of areas including addiction, anger management, antisocial behavior, ADHD, intimate and romantic relationships, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, dissociative disorders, family relationships, gender identity, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, medical issues and physical health, military and veteran support, multicultural and diversity issues, OCD, perinatal support, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, somatic symptom disorder, stress, trauma, and traumatic brain injury. My communication style I bring a relaxed environment to my sessions with clients, where we work together to find solutions to life’s stressors. My journey to mental healthcare I have wanted to be a therapist since I was in high school. I always loved helping others work through their issues and find solutions. I continue to learn about new modalities that I can use in my therapy practice. My goals for you We work on finding long-term goals that are attainable and then break those long-term goals into short-term goals. We then work on keeping the motivation up to complete these short-term goals to make progress toward the long-term goal.
