About Dr. Surya Raguthu
Dr. Raguthu earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Osmania Medical College. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. In 2007, he was named among the Best Physicians in the USA.
In 2005, Dr. Raguthu served as Medical Director for Brownsville's South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital. In 2008, he was active on the board of the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce and the Active Life Rehab Center, specializing in musculoskeletal medicine, pain management, workers' compensation, and industrial medicine.

Over the years, his affiliations with St. Vincent's, Beth Israel, and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center have allowed him to work alongside pioneers in the field.
His greatest thrill is helping patients regain their ability to walk. He also provides free services to individuals who cannot afford certain medical treatments. Dr. Raguthu enjoys optimizing medical outcomes and values the daily interactions he has with people from all walks of life. He was drawn to his profession by a desire to help others and the influence and support of his family, many of whom are renowned physicians. He attributes his success to his discipline.

After driving an hour to the facility and arriving ten minutes ahead of time, I was told my insurance was expired (it’s not), that they cancelled the appointment on the app (they didn’t), that the app wasn’t for making appointments for existing patients, only new patients (ridiculous), that they tried to call me (wrong number), and that the appointment itself was cancelled even though I showed up.
Even though the doctor had told me to seek physical therapy last year and just come back for my steroid shots, I was questioned as to why I didn’t return last year.
They found every reason possible not to see me and acted like I had done wrong and offended them, which I don’t understand at all.
I apologized for inconveniencing them in any way, and left after making another appointment two weeks out.
I have carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and pinched nerves in my neck. Two weeks out means two more weeks out of work.

Wow this has been frustrating! It started with 4 calls prior to my appointment to confirm the same insurance information each time. Nothing was wrong or changed but they had no notes of previous conversations and info given to the other 3.When I returned for my follow up and actual medication, this is when things went very poorly…
I was told to throw away my old medication from other doctors that had been alleviating my pain (Understandable) . They would “call in another prescription to take for a month”. They never called it in for the first week. Then when the medication was rejected they kept promising to call in a new prescription and 7 days turned into 13 days. Finally just today I called 5 times begging them to just call the pharmacy to confirm the prescription. Sure enough, they closed and no such call was made.My Walgreens pharmacists accused me of having a script called in by a “fake doctors office” because they hung up on him twice when he attempted to verify the script.
