Listening to the narrative of every person's life is fascinating to me. I am empathic, interactive and am a firm believer that good therapy brings results that make people feel more comfortable, empowered, and gives you the strength that is needed to grow. Therapy begins with identifying painful situations, or problematic themes that repeatedly arise, and interfere with one's life. I believe that therapy should be transformative, and I try to provide a healing experience for those clients with whom I work. I am particularly skilled in working with panic disorder, depression, divorce conflict, and trauma, including sexual abuse.
I draw from Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Positive Psychology, Attachment Theory. I have training and experience in CBT, EMDR. I work with victims of sexual trauma and with couples or individuals in Sex Therapy. My style is interactive and empathic. I believe therapy is about bolstering weaknesses and the realization of strengths.
I am a deeply empathic and intuitive therapist. I typically help clients examine the destructive themes and patterns in their lives. (such as shame, blame, or guilt) Forgiveness, finding our humility, and our sense of humanity are germane to my philosophy. I try to help clients find joy in their relationships.

Susan Hodos is the best therapist in the whole wide world! She has saved me more ways than one. During the worst time in my life she was instrumental in helping me overcome severe depression and anxiety. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, empathetic and genuinely cares about her patients. Because of her I have been able to regain control of my emotions and start enjoying life again. I am forever grateful to her, she remains in my life, someone I can trust and turn to, she is family to me..
