What should a new client know about working with you?

Jessica takes a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach to therapy. She works to create a space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly and at their own pace. Her goal is to help each client feel heard, understood, and supported while working together toward meaningful and realistic goals. When working with children and adolescents, Jessica recognizes the importance of understanding the whole person, including their experiences at school, at home, and in their relationships. She adapts her approach to each client’s individual needs, strengths, age, and circumstances. Clients can expect Jessica to be compassionate, patient, and engaged throughout the therapeutic process. She values building trust and creating a strong therapeutic relationship while helping clients develop practical skills, strengthen coping strategies, and feel more confident navigating challenges in their daily lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Jessica begins by getting to know each client, understanding what brings them to therapy, and identifying the concerns, strengths, and goals that are most important to them. She believes that building trust and creating a comfortable environment is an important part of the therapeutic process. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to the individual needs of each client. Depending on the client’s age and concerns, sessions may include discussing current challenges, exploring emotions and experiences, developing coping strategies, strengthening communication skills, and practicing practical tools that can be used outside of therapy. When working with children and adolescents, Jessica may also consider how school, family relationships, friendships, and other parts of the client’s environment are affecting their well-being. Over time, she works with clients to review progress, adjust goals when needed, and build skills that can help them manage challenges with greater confidence and independence.
