Susan Monahan is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in marriage therapy and couples counseling, child therapy, adolescent therapy, EMDR, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has worked in the field of mental health since 1986 and has practiced independently since 2002. Susan received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1994. She trained with Dr. Harville Hendrix in Imago Relationship Therapy.
Susan works with children ages four and up and enjoys providing couples therapy. She has a particular interest in cross-cultural issues. Her experience spans a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, substance abuse, family and parenting issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. She is certified in both EMDR and Imago Relationship Therapy.
Susan has worked in various settings, including clinics and hospitals, and has experience working in homes addressing parenting challenges for children with severe emotional problems.
