Joanna Loftus, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
I am an art therapist, psychotherapist, and visual artist. In my practice, I combine a wide range of therapeutic techniques with my creative background. What illuminates my practice is the deep belief that the past does not define who we are but teaches us who we want to become. My approach My approach integrates mindfulness, art, EMDR, and a strength-based perspective, all while maintaining cultural humility and grounding in evidence-based practices. I believe in the power of therapeutic art techniques and other holistic modalities to help clients re-establish healthy relationships with themselves and others. My focus I work with adults who experience a wide range of life challenges that they find difficult to navigate. I incorporate mindfulness, relational connection, art, and creative expression to support clients in their journey toward personal growth, healing, and deeper self-understanding My communication style I believe that through the therapeutic process, we gain perspective on our experiences, examine our behavior patterns, and expand our emotional vocabulary. What illuminates my practice is the deep belief that the past does not define who we are but teaches us who we want to become. My journey to mental healthcare I'm a trauma-oriented Art Therapist and Psychotherapist who graduated from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, where I received my MA in Religion Studies, before obtaining my MA in Art Therapy and Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. Currently, I live and work in Denver, Colorado. My goals for you Every client who begins therapy, regardless of the modality or frequency of treatment, is asked to discuss the goals that brought them to therapy. These goals serve as a map that will guide us throughout the therapeutic journey.
