“Nicholas has been pivotal in my mental health journey, but also my journey of relocating to a new state and managing becoming a father. I‚Äôve really learned better communication skills as well as not absorbing stress or expectations from others and putting that into myself. His care has really helped tremendously.”

Getting to know Nicholas Miller

Hi there, I'm Nicholas! Hello! My name is Nick Miller. For over 10 years, I have worked to help individuals of all ages overcome painful past experiences, reverse self-limiting beliefs, improve healthy interpersonal connections, and find greater fulfillment in life. I really look forward to getting to know you and partnering with you on your path toward healing and personal growth! My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral and Strength-Based Therapy in conjunction to create an effective, client-centered approach. I also use Accelerated Resolution Therapy to address anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and self-limiting beliefs that inhibit motivation and confidence. My focus I work with clients age 13 and up and specialize in offering support through life transitions, communication and relationship problems, anxiety and confidence issues, as well as barriers caused by trauma and PTSD. My communication style It's important to me that my clients can be themselves and feel at ease sharing the things that matter most to them. My journey to mental healthcare I earned my Master's in Counseling from the University of Ottawa. I have always held a great deal of gratitude for the mentors in my life and recognize that their support has been a major contributor to my own happiness and confidence. I wish to provide that same support to others through the therapeutic relationship. My goals for you My primary focus is always the goals and topics that are most important to my clients. I find that we make the most progress toward the issues we're motivated to address rather than the ones other people identify. My first session with you My goal for the first session is to make the client feel safe and at ease. My focus is to get to know the client on a personal level and get a sense of their interests, strengths, and motivations with the hope of instilling confidence in our ability to make progress together.
