About Thomas Ventura

Tom's lifelong dedication to physical therapy began at the age of fourteen when he volunteered for three years at his hometown PT clinic as an aide, igniting a profound passion for helping others improve movement and heal. With a B.S. in Biology from Ramapo College as a foundation, Tom then earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers University. A unique shadowing opportunity with the New York Yankees in Tampa, Florida, bolstered his interest in sports medicine and orthopedics and a desire to work with athletes and nonathletes alike. The rigorous Orthopedic Residency program with Professional Physical Therapy provided a post-graduate commitment to excellence which culminated in achieving the American Board of Physical Therapy's Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification. With over seven years of effective evidence-based practice at Professional Physical Therapy, including five years as Clinical Director of the Englewood, NJ office, Tom developed a comprehensive understanding of diverse musculoskeletal conditions and enjoys using those skills to mentor students as they embark on their PT careers. Tom is excited to bring this wealth of knowledge and expertise to ProPT's new Maywood, NJ practice as Clinical Director and Partner. His goal is to provide his patients with exceptional and compassionate care, helping them regain function, reduce pain and get back to doing what they love best.
