Getting to know Dr. Tim Hotchkiss

Welcome to Adolescent Psychology Services! My goal is to provide treatment for children and adolescents living with various mental health issues. The world is a strange place and life is challenging. I want to help my clients develop healthy mindsets and give them skills they can use to set themselves up for success in any goal they set. Through this process Adolescent Psychology Services can help build a healthier and kinder future.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer individual therapy services as well as ADHD and Cognitive assessments for ages 8-24. Therapy services are designed to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, inattention, and various behavioral issues. My experience working with behavioral schools in conjunction with my 10 years of coaching athletes has provided me with an excellent skill set in motivating and developing positive behaviors with children and adolescence struggling from issues like low self-esteem to severe aggressive outbursts. My goal for each client is to help foster confidence and develop appropriate social emotional behaviors that set up young people for a lifetime of success. I work to foster the potential in all of my patients and to alleviate problematic behaviors and attitudes. My passion has always been working with children and adolescents. Lessons learned during this developmental period are critical. The impact one person can have is incalculable and my goal is to make sure that the impact I have enhances the patient's abilities for a lifetime of success.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in working with adolescents who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma related disorders, behavioral issues, and various social emotional disorders. During the initial intake session I work with my patient to develop a road map and set goals for what they want to accomplish throughout treatment. Many of my patients report achieving their goals throughout therapy.
