“Uri has been amazing in helping me manage my anxiety and depression. He has a great sense of humor and really understands what people go through when transitioning from being single to married to becoming parents. That makes it easy to open up and actually enjoy our sessions. He gives me practical tools I can use in real-life stressful moments, and his calm, grounded way of talking things through helps me figure out what really works. ”

Getting to know Dr. Uri Berger

As a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience, I deeply understand and empathize with my clients' struggles. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with genuine care, creating a safe space for healing and growth. I specialize in treating individuals, couples, and guiding parents, offering compassionate support and insightful guidance. I aim to connect with each client, empowering them to navigate their emotions and achieve lasting well-being. I am dedicated to helping my clients find strength and resilience through life's challenges. Healing happens best when we work together, with compassion and clear direction. My approach to mental health is rooted in understanding that life can feel overwhelming, but with the right support, growth is always possible. I work closely with my clients, guiding them on their path, helping them avoid falls, and pointing them toward their goals. This is also true for my work with parents, as I help them walk the parenthood trail, which, although wonderful, can be hard and frustrating. I aim to provide practical tools and heartfelt guidance so you don’t feel alone in this journey. Together, we can make meaningful change. One specific field I am focusing on is guiding parents of young adults—especially those struggling with independence and ‘failure to launch’—to help restore balance and connection within the family. Through Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), I guide parents in reducing conflict, fostering their child’s self-reliance, and creating a more peaceful home. As a couples therapist, I help partners move out of cycles of disconnection, conflict, and emotional withdrawal by creating a safe space for honest, vulnerable dialogue. My w I hold a PhD in Psychology from Bar-Ilan University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Tel Aviv University, which have provided me with a strong foundation to support my clients effectively.

Dr. Berger’s empathy and clarity helped me through one of the hardest periods of my life. I’m deeply grateful.
I have worked with Dr. Berger on marital issues and problems with both my young boys. He was invaluable!

Working with Dr. Berger has been life-changing. He really listens without judgment, makes me feel understood, and gives me tools I can actually use in my daily life.
As parents of a 27-year-old who never left home, we felt helpless and stuck. We didn’t want to pressure her too much, but we couldn’t keep going in the same cycle. Dr. Berger’s guidance and warmth made a huge difference for us. Our daughter has taken her first steps toward independence, and our connection with her—and with each other—feels stronger than ever.
Dr. Berger guided as through one of the most difficult periods in our lives. Our 28-year-old daughter has been stuck. The chang is we have seen are remarkable!
My partner and I came to Dr. Berger at a time when our relationship felt stuck. We were caught in the same arguments over and over, and it seemed like we had lost the ability to listen to one another. From the very first session, Dr. Berger created a safe, balanced space where both of us felt truly heard. He gave us concrete communication tools, but also encouraged us to slow down and recognize what was really driving our conflicts. We’ve come out of this process with a stronger bond, a deeper understanding of one another, and a renewed sense of hope about our future together. We are so grateful for his thoughtful, compassionate, and practical guidance.
As a couples therapist, Dr. Berger uses a unique blend of humor, straight forwardness and insight that has helped us tremendously strengthen our marriage and have open and honest conversations that we have had trouble having on our own in the past. He has the ability to provide sensitive feedback in a way that doesnt feel critical or judgemental. We would highly recommend Dr. Berger for anyone looking to repair and work through relationship issues.
