“Vivian and the Staff at Recovery Mode are remarkable and they do an excellent job with their patients. I was fortunate enough to not only receive treatment there but to also talk to the staff and get to know them as people. Very knowledgeable about their practice and I felt great after my session. I am an avid runner and to have my lower body stretched, massaged, cupped and scraped was amazing. I went there for two sessions and both were great, I felt rejuvenated afterwards. Recovery Mode is my new favorite Recovery spot.”

“I went in for an ankle injury and was dealing with pretty bad swelling and pain. What truly made my experience great was working with Vivian, who was very knowledgeable and thoughtful. She recommended we do localized cryotherapy and this approach was completely different from any physical therapy I've experienced before. The cryotherapy was incredible - it dramatically helped manage my pain and reduce swelling in a way I didn't think was possible. Vivian also took the time to understand my injury, tailored the treatment to my needs, and provided ongoing support. If you're looking for a recovery experience that goes beyond traditional methods and actually delivers results, this is the place. Instead of only standard treatments, they also focus on precise, modern, and results-driven techniques that actually work. Highly recommended.”

As a patient in recovery, I know I am going to be taking care of mentally, physical and educational with any pain I come in with. They make sure that when you leave, you’re pain free or pain less. They very much adhere to healing you the proper way, while helping you achieve your goals as an athlete. Best recovery spot ever! They are super friendly and welcoming to any one in the community.
Every visit I have (which at this point is a routine every 2 weeks) is pleasant and rewarding in both physical and emotional care/well being. Im always being asked specific questions about my needs and what parts of my body may require more care. I’m also taught during sessions why something may be occurring whether it’s regards to pain/weakness or even strengthening of. Vivian has built a relationship with me where, as a client I feel valued for the time spent working on recovering and being held accountable for what I do outside of recovery mode to make sure I stay in great condition. The quality of work is also fantastic. I know what’s being tended to and can immediately feel the difference between before we start a session and afterward. I’m grateful for knowing Vivian will be tending to me and in the most generalized way I don’t think most people can say that. I recommend Vivian to all my fellow Athletic peers if they have physical needs or injuries. She is the best.
I had a really great experience with Vivian at Recovery Mode in Queens. I came in with IT band syndrome from training for the NYC Marathon, and she really took the time to listen and understand what I was going through. It was my first time trying cupping, and it honestly felt amazing—so much relief I wasn’t expecting. The clinic is clean and has a really chill vibe, and the whole team is super professional. If you’re dealing with running injuries or need help recovering, I highly recommend Vivian and Recovery Mode.
Viv has magic hands! She was able to get out knots and tight muscles in my legs that I didn’t even know I had! She also always does a thorough job during our sessions; I always leave feeling a million times better than when I walked in. Cannot recommend her enough, especially for all of my runners!
I am deeply thankful to Vivian for her outstanding support and care during my marathon training. As a skilled therapist/doctor and experienced marathon runner, she brought exceptional understanding to my needs. Her guidance helped me overcome physical challenges and inspired confidence throughout my journey. Vivian’s expertise was vital in addressing my knee issues from a previous injury and managing groin soreness during peak training. She created a personalized plan of exercises, hands-on therapy, and practical advice to ensure effective training while preventing further strain or injury. What sets Vivian apart is her ability to connect on both a professional and personal level. Her firsthand knowledge of marathon demands allowed her to provide tailored, encouraging advice. She kept me focused on my goals while emphasizing recovery, balance, and listening to my body. Thanks to her care, I successfully completed my marathon feeling strong and well-prepared. I PR’d my 5K & 3rd Mara!!
I experienced severe trap pain from heavy lifting, which significantly impacted my mobility and sleep. Dr. Vivian not only alleviated the pain but also greatly improved my range of motion. She is highly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the rationale behind targeting specific muscle groups during treatment. Overall, my experience with Dr. Vivian was transformative and life-changing.
I have seen Vivian a few times and have always walked out feeling amazing. As a long term runner and someone who didn’t prioritize her recovery, going to recovery mode really changed me. Vivian takes her time getting to know her client and their needs. She specifically works with runners and helps support their needs so they can keep running in the long term. I’m so so appreciative of Vivian and her support!!!!
Very professional and knowledgeable. Was able to explain thoroughly what was causing me issues and provided good treatment to help with relief. Would recommend to those who haven’t had much luck with other PTs in getting back to training.
