About Ximena Izquierdo

I’m Ximena Izquierdo, AP, LMT, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM), a licensed acupuncture physician and a lifelong listener. Long before I ever placed a needle, I spent 17 years in Early Childhood Education, Specializing in support for Authism, Down Syndrome, and Learning Disability with a Degree in Clinical Psychology in the State of Indiana. I learned to hear what isn’t said: how stress hides in shoulders, how worry shows up in breath, how the body protects what the heart has carried. That listening became my compass. I also share something personal because it shaped my work: I am dyslexic. Dyslexia taught me to learn through patterns, rhythm, and feelings, through the body itself. It made me slow down, observe closely, and trust more than words: pulse qualities, posture, the way the nervous system settles when it feels safe. What some might call a challenge became my greatest teacher, fueling my passion to understand healing deeply and to help others feel seen, respected, and capable of change.
